Working with silver, an art cultivated for centuries by Mexican artists.
Odilón Marmolejo’s exquisite work is known for its unmatched combination of
beauty and technical quality, far above that of other artisans in this
field.
Obsessed with creating perfection throughout each step in the process, from
the creation of the molds until the finishing, the master achieves and
amazing finish on the more than two hundred pieces that have come to form
his collection.
His works range from the Collection of Art Object, silver sculpture on
exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in 1979, to the
1996 Febres Collection presented in several countries in Europe. He is the only
artisan with permission to make replicas of ancient pieces on display at the
National Museum of History and Anthropology. Each of these pieces is
registered with a certificate of Export and Copy from the National Institute
of Anthropology and History.
