fifteen, Hilario learned the secrets of working with clay from his mother,
famous for her famous pineapples of Carapan which won her several prizes.
Outstanding are the ornamental pineapples elaborated with techniques of
appliqué and openwork, and whose production requires exceptional skill and
mastery. The trajectory of his career has been recognized by various
institutions, garnering him a number of awards including the Banamex
Cultural Foundation prize.
